I, Dr. Reiner Hennig, studied physics and did my diploma thesis in astrophysics.
I studied the physics of the earth’s atmosphere in Wuppertal, wrote my thesis on infrared emissions (4 – 17 um) of the upper atmosphere above 60 km and received my doctorate there.
I did research at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Department of Air Chemistry on the propagation of infrared radiation (thermal radiation) in the Earth’s atmosphere and on chemistry in the atmosphere.
After 2 years in technical sales, I supervised laboratory courses in physics at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. I decided to become a physics teacher at high schools, studied for it and passed my 1st and 2nd state exams. Including the traineeship (Referendariat) I taught for 15 years at schools in Hesse.
As a physics teacher I tried very hard to teach physics as understandably as possible. The result of these efforts can be found in the sheets “An easy way to Physics“.
